This work is romantic. It’s inspired by the biodynamic calendar - it’s based on the movement of the moon and other celestial bodies. We followed this calendar in the permaculture garden when I lived in an off-grid community in Portugal in 2021. It was a waxing crescent moon in taurus, so we had a few “root days” window - we were planting different roots in the garden.

It kind of feels romantic, when I’m looking at this painting hanging in our living room. I guess a lot of people have this vision of living close to the nature - working soil with their hands, being self-sustainable, independent.

Well this fairy lady, born out of a flower, she mastered the elements. No dirt under her nails, she doesn’t have to wash her clothes and dishes in the river, watch the fire in the night. She’s growing the whole new universe. Gardening heals your soul, but your back can start to hurt.

It’s nice to feel romantic. I recommend that.
